Almost all fire hoses of today are of all synthetic construction.
Linings and external coating are now almost always formed from
various plastic
materials.
Modern fire fighting techniques often demand higher operating
pressures and the performance of repaired hoses must be continually improved to
keep pace with the performance of modern pumping appliances.
As an integral part of the criteria for hose design and performance
all uncoated,
extruded and coated hoses manufactured by Australian Fire Hose are
easily,
economically and effectively repaired with a single external patch
only and perform
in excess of the requirements of AS2792 Appendix O.
To achieve this objective Australian Fire Hose has developed the “SPOT
ON” hose repair system,
which can be used as an alternative
where other traditional methods are currently used or where improved performance
of repaired hose is required.

materials are to be used in conjunction with “Spot On” materials or
unsatisfactory results will occur.
